While this Victorian Era building is charming it has been well maintained.  It was built before air-conditioning and as such retains its interior temperature very well. The windows have their original-style, but are energy efficient and contribute to residents paying low utility costs. Most of the utilities are paid with the rent through a fixed monthly rate – these utilities are gas (heating and in most apartments cooking), water, sewer, trash and recycling. Heat is provided through a central steam-radiant heating –system, which keeps the temperature in each apartment comfortable. The only utility required to be set up in the resident’s name is electricity and those charges are minimal. Each apartment is cable ready through Comcast, but there are other cable and internet options available.

The Ruby’s 200 South location is directly on a few major bus routes and on the city’s designated bike lanes. It is convenient to five area grocery stores, many local restaurants, three major hospitals, the University of Utah, The City Creek Center, The Gateway Mall, Trolley Square and Liberty Park. While it is close to all these things there is also 2 hours of free parking during the day in front of the building for guests and residents and over night street parking without time limits.
